For 30 years, Friends Without a Border has worked to ensure that children in underserved communities receive the healthcare they deserve. This anniversary is not only a celebration of how far we’ve come, but also a moment to look forward to the future we can continue building together.

    Songs of Lao Charity Artist Reception in Vientiane

    On October 29, 2025, the artist reception for the photography collection of Mr Kenro Izu, ‘Songs of Lao’ was held at T’Shop Lai Gallery in Vientiane. It was an amazing opportunity to meet the renowned photographer and humanitarian behind both this inspiring collection and the vision that made free healthcare for children in Laos a reality.

    We’d like to say thank you to everyone who joined and supported this memorable celebration of Lao art, culture, and compassion.

    The exhibition remains open to the public until February 28, 2026, showcasing Kenro Izu’s moving works that capture the timeless beauty and spirit of Laos.

  • The 2025 Luang Prabang Gala

    The Annual Luang Prabang Gala fundraising event for Lao Friends Hospital for Children was held at the former royal residence, The Villa, on October 25.

    It was a celebration of community and shared purpose with friends, local business partners, and supporters from across the country. All united by one mission, to ensure every child in Laos has access to free, quality healthcare.

  • Run For Children 2025 Luang Prabang Half Marathon: A Record-Breaking Year

    The streets of Luang Prabang came alive on October 25, 2025, as more than 2,800 runners joined this year’s Run for Children, the largest turnout in the event’s 11-year history. More than just our annual local fundraising event, it was a true community success. People from all across Laos came together to support the hospital that brings hope and healing to so many children in northern Laos.

    We want to say a big thank you to everyone who made this possible. To the sponsors, organizers, volunteers, runners, and donors, both in Laos and around the world, your kindness and energy made this day unforgettable.

    And to everyone who joined the Virtual Run and supported from afar, thank you for being part of this journey with us.

    Together, we showed what can happen when a community cares deeply and runs with one purpose! Thank you all very much.

    The 10th Anniversary of Lao Friends Hospital for Children New York Gala

    May 20, 2025

    Almost 170 supporters and guests joined and enjoyed the festive evening with special performances by Carlton Moe and a fun, exciting auction by Christopher Henke. The history and current activities at the hospital were presented with a video. This year, Nerou Cheng was honored with the Best Friend of Friends Award for his unwavering dedication to our organization to improve the health of children in Cambodia and Laos.
