Safeguarding Children and Staff During the Pandemic

First, we hope everyone is safe and well during this difficult time. Several of you have inquired as to how Lao Friends Hospital For Children has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Laos confirmed 19 cases of the virus by mid-April and no additional cases have been recorded since then. Our hospital hasn’t treated any affected patients, but it did have a detailed protocol in place for screening them and ensuring staff safety. Our international volunteers returned to their home countries, so the expat and Lao staff worked tirelessly to continue to provide free, compassionate care for those who needed it. Obviously, we have had to cancel all our global fundraising events. ANY help you can contribute will help us remain operating at capacity. Thank you!
