Our Mission

At Friends Without A Border, we believe every child has the right to a healthy and loving life. We accomplish this by providing high-quality and compassionate medical care and health education to the children of Southeast Asia.

Our Inpatient and Outpatient Departments in Laos are treating on average, 80 children, every single day! In Cambodia, Angkor Hospital for Children has now treated 1.6 million children since opening in 1999. Our model of compassionate medical treatment means "treat every child as if your own."

The key to prevent future illness or disease transmission lies in education. Every patient that visits LFHC in Laos or AHC Cambodia is educated on their current condition and best methods to prevent future sickness. We also provide English-language and medical education to our local staff members, to ensure long-term capacity building and economic development.

Our Outreach Team holds Health Promotion Days in Nong-Heo village in Laos, with the purpose to reach  and educate rural areas with little access to medical care. Topics include everything from breastfeeding to basic sanitation; a cooking demonstration to learn nutrition; and how to properly wash hands. The team also provides immunizations and antenatal care to expecting mothers.
